Also, for anyone still unconvinced that superhero comics purposely objectify female characters, stand up and mimic that last pose Starfire’s rocking. Notice how when one sticks out their chest and raises their ass back so that their spine is significantly curved into a backwards “C”—-it’s uncomfortable as hell. Imagine standing like that in your everyday job. Imagine walking that way down the street. Why would anyone choose to pose like that, especially someone in the business of fighting crime? When was the last time you saw a police officer standing like that? Or a soldier? It serves no other purpose but to pander to male fans who only care about T&A.
Yet another reason I stay far, far away from DC books that aren’t batman.
